Night on the Shiretoko Peninsula. Explore roads through the darkness in a guide vehicle as you search for wildlife and starry skies on this night tour.
At night, Shiretoko takes on a completely different character from the one it shows during the day. We search for encounters with wildlife such as Ezo deer and red foxes that appear along the roads and in grassy areas at night.
The glowing moon illuminates the Shiretoko Mountain Range, and its majestic silhouette emerges against the night sky. You can also enjoy the seasonal rhythms of nature through sounds, such as the songs of Scaly Thrushes and the rutting calls of male deer heard from the forest.
When daytime ends, it's wildlife's time in Shiretoko.
When searching for wildlife at night, you cannot find them simply by shining a light into the darkness. Where are they likely to appear? What are they doing? Our experienced guides read the conditions of the day and the movements of the animals as they guide you.
There is a true side of Shiretoko that can be seen precisely because of the darkness.
On clear nights, we observe the starry sky after getting out of the vehicle. The vast starry sky, made possible by Shiretoko's lack of city lights, is also one of the highlights of this tour.
As you will not be walking through the forest, everyone from young children to older adults can easily join the tour.

Cancellation Policy
Please be aware that the following cancellation fees will apply if you cancel due to your own circumstances.
Please contact us immediately by phone (0152-22-5522) if you wish to cancel.
*Cancellations made after business hours (cancellations after 19:00) will be processed the following day.
7 to 4 days before the meeting: 30% of the fee
3 days to the day before: 50% of the fee
On the day of the tour: 100% of the fee
*Similarly, 100% of the tour fee will be charged for no-shows without prior notice.
No cancellation fee will be charged if you are unable to attend due to transportation disruptions or road closures caused by bad weather, or if the tour is cancelled before it begins due to typhoon or heavy rain/flood warnings.
No refunds will be given for tour cancellations after the start due to natural conditions such as bear sightings or severe weather. Please be aware of this in advance.

Note
- This tour is a vehicle-based tour departing from and returning to the Utoro area. There are no restroom facilities available from departure until the tour returns. Seats cannot be reserved or assigned in advance.
- Shiretoko is home to brown bears, so for safety reasons, walking in the dark is not permitted. You will search for wildlife while traveling by vehicle on public roads, and if weather conditions are favorable, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy stargazing.
