About the Melt Season: Lake Shikaribetsu is a completely frozen lake.
For about half the year, ice and snow remain on the lake surface, but as temperatures rise in spring, the ice melts rapidly.
This period of ice melting is called the melt season.
Your guide will carefully show you the fascinating sights of the melting ice. While normally inaccessible due to danger, with safe equipment and the guidance of a nature guide, the lake in spring becomes a beautiful and enjoyable field of exploration.
The most unique feature of the ice melt walk is that you wear a dry suit, which keeps you warm and allows you to float on the water.
This is a garment made of neoprene. It is worn over regular clothing.
Even on a frozen lake, you won't feel cold, and your clothes will not get wet.
Moreover,the drysuit allows you to float, even if you can't swim.
Support system:This tour is led by two guides.
One guide will lead the tour, the other guide will support safety management. Please enjoy the beauty of nature.

If there is insufficient ice before the end of the expected experience period, the experience may be changed to a Canadian canoe tour.
