Family Rafting Tour (Half Day)
This half-day rafting tour is suitable for children from age 3 (minimum weight 13 kg) and up!
Along the course, you’ll encounter around 5 small rapids, where families can paddle together and enjoy the adventure as a team.
In calmer sections, there’s plenty of fun for kids:
- Play games on the raft
- Jump into the water and float along the river
- Enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the Yoshino River
Kids will be full of excitement in this amazing outdoor setting!
There’s also an optional rock jumping activity, which is always a big hit.
For kids who love playing in the water, this will be an unforgettable experience.
Tour Schedule
Morning Tour
July 11 – September 22
Meeting: 8:45 AM / Start: 9:00 AM / Finish: around 12:00 PM
March 1 – July 10 / September 23 – October 31
Meeting: 9:15 AM / Start: 9:30 AM / Finish: around 12:30 PM
Afternoon Tour
Start: 1:30 PM
Meeting: 1:15 PM / Finish: around 4:30 PM

All of our guides are certified by RAJ (Rafting Association of Japan).
Some also hold advanced Grade 4/5 and Senior Grade 4/5 certifications from NZRA (New Zealand Rafting Association), one of the world’s leading rafting organizations.
Many of our guides have extensive international experience, bringing high-level skills and safety standards to your family adventure.

* Swimsuit
– Worn under the wetsuit. Underwear may be used instead.
– Rash guards are fine, but cotton is not recommended as it makes you cold.
* Shoes that can get wet
– sneakers or sandals with a secure heel strap.
– Crocs are not allowed.
– Rental available: 300 yen (no advance reservation required)
* Sunscreen
* If you wear glasses, please bring a strap or contacts (we can provide a strap if needed).
– We recommend disposable contacts.

※Those under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardia12 years old and above.n.
※For minors, a parent or guardian must sign the participation agreement. If you are a minor, please let us know in advance so that we can organize parental permission.
Please bring an ID to confirm the child’s age on the day of the tour.
For safety reasons, guests who fall under the following conditions cannot participate:
- Those using a pacemaker or other implanted medical electronic device
- Those with epilepsy, or with any medical condition, injury, or disability that may worsen or be affected by rafting
(Participation may be possible depending on the condition and course level, so please contact us before booking.

- 【About Boat Seating】
Each boat accommodates up to 7 guests plus 1 guide.
If your reservation is for other than 7 guests, you may be grouped with other participants.
Private boat reservations are available.
For a private boat, the full rate for 7 guests applies regardless of the number of participants.
Please note that private boats may not be available depending on booking conditions.
If you wish to reserve a private boat, we recommend contacting us as early as possible.
【Bookings for 1–2 Guests】
The minimum number of participants required to run the tour is 3 people.
Bookings for 1–2 guests are accepted; however, if the total number of participants does not reach 3 by the day of the tour, the tour can still operate as a small-group tour with a 50% surcharge.
【Tour Photos】
During the tour, the guides take waterproof digital cameras to take photos and videos, which can be purchased for ¥1,000 for half-day tours and ¥2,000 for full-day tours, if desired.
We do not recommend bringing your own camera, as it may be lost or damaged and could cause injury. Any personal equipment you bring is used at your own risk.
If you bring a GoPro, helmets with mounts are available in limited numbers.
Helmet sizes and mounts cannot be reserved.e accepted; however, if the total number of participants does not reach 3 by the day of the tour, the tour can still operate as a small-group tour with a 50% surcharge.
■ Weather & River Conditions
Depending on weather conditions and river water levels, the course may be changed or the tour may be cancelled.
Tours are cancelled only in cases such as typhoons with heavy rain warnings or when the river level exceeds our safety standards.
Tours are not cancelled due to normal rain.
Depending on river conditions, children’s participation may be restricted.
■ Cancellation Notice & Refunds
If there is a high possibility of cancellation due to a typhoon or similar conditions, we will contact you as early as 2–3 days in advance, and no later than the day before the tour.
If you would like to check the situation, please feel free to contact us.
Please note that, in rare cases, the final decision may be made on the day of the tour.
If the tour is cancelled by Happy Raft’s decision, the full tour fee will be refunded.
■ Participation of Minors
Please inform us in advance if any minors will be participating.
If a minor is not accompanied by a parent or guardian, a signed consent form is required in advance.
When children participate, please follow the guide’s instructions and cooperate to ensure everyone’s safety.

Wetsuits and safety equipment are available in sizes from 13 kg up to XXXXL.
We can accommodate chest circumference up to 147 cm.
※In cold weather, wetsuits can be layered, and wet socks are available.

- The Happy Raft reception is located just below the parking area.
Please check in at reception by meeting time.
The meeting point and drop-off location are the same.
Transportation during the tour will be provided by our shuttle bus, so there is no need to use your own car after arrival.
